Your dashboard doesn't have to be one-size-fits-all. The view picker lets you create and switch between your own saved layouts — a focused start screen for whatever you're working on, saved per-user to your account.
This walkthrough creates a brand-new view, then makes it yours: open the picker, hit Create View, name it, and save — your new view opens straight in edit mode. From there, start from one of the built-in templates, then add, resize, and arrange widgets until it fits the way you work. Save when you're done, star it to make it the view your dashboard loads by default, and switch back to any other view from the picker any time. (To edit a view you already saved, open it and click Customize.)
Step 1
Open the view picker
On the dashboard, the view picker at the top shows the layout you're currently on. Open it to see every view available to you, grouped into Organisation Defaults and My Views.
Step 2
Create View
Click Create View at the bottom of the picker. A small dialog opens asking for a name for your new view.
Step 3
Name and save
Type a name into the View name box — something memorable like "Daily Overview" — then click Save view. The empty view is saved to your account and opens straight in edit mode, ready to build.
Step 4
Edit mode, ready to build
A new view drops you straight into edit mode: the toolbar gains Templates, Undo / Redo, and Save, and a widget palette docks on the right — everything you need to shape the view. (To edit an existing view later, open it and click Customize.)
Step 5
Start from a template
Click Templates to open the gallery of built-in, role-based layouts — Manager, Care Worker, Care Coordinator, Compliance Officer, Finance & Billing, Facility Manager, System Admin, and Minimal. Each shows how many of its widgets you can access. Pick one and the grid fills instantly — a head start you can tweak.
Step 6
Add widgets
Browse the widget palette on the right — every widget you can add is listed there, grouped by category and searchable. Drag one onto the grid, or click it to drop it in. Only the widgets your role can access are shown.
Step 7
Resize and arrange
Drag a widget by its header to move it, or drag its corner handle to resize it on the grid. Open a widget's settings to adjust what it shows. Arrange everything to suit the way you work.
Step 8
Save your layout
Click Save to store the layout on your view. This also closes edit mode and returns you to the dashboard.
Step 9
Pin it as your default
Back on the dashboard, click the star beside the view picker to make this view your default — the one your dashboard loads first every time. Click it again any time to unpin. Switch between all your views from the picker whenever you like.
